Dr. David Arellano, PE
One of our company’s principals has nearly 30 years of civil engineering and construction related experience. He has B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin. His private practice experience includes both commercial and residential projects that involved performing geotechnical engineering studies and included planning and performing subsurface explorations; planning and performing laboratory testing; and performing analyses for slope stability, foundation design and repair, earth retaining structure design, and site and soil improvement. He held a real estate license in Illinois and worked with developers in evaluating ground conditions for construction suitability and building foundation design. In addition to private practice he has nearly 23 years of military engineering and construction experience as an officer in the Corps of Engineers in the U.S. Army Reserve including projects in American Samoa, Panama, Jordan, Kenya, and Germany. He was deployed to Kuwait for 1 year as part of Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom. He provided recommendations for base camp site selection, construction, maintenance, and repair, as well as base camp closure planning, execution, and oversight. He also has over 10 years of experience teaching civil engineering as an assistant and associate professor.
Alma R Arellano, NCIDQ
Another of our company’s principals has over 20 years of interior design experience. She has a B.S. degree in Interior design and holds a NCIDQ licensure certificate. She has been involved in commercial, hospitality, government, institutional and residential projects that involved space planning, design, cost estimating, preparation of specifications, selection of finishes and furnishings, and overseeing projects from the initial schematic design through construction. .
